Volunteering with us

Our amazing team of volunteers are the beating heart of Help for Heroes and becoming one is so rewarding. Make new friends and learn new skills, all while helping veterans and their families to live well after military service.

However much time you can give, you’ll be making a big difference and we promise you’ll have fun while you’re at it!

Here are Julie and Alan, two of our amazing volunteers, who explain what it means to them to be volunteers for the Charity.

What you can do

From supporting at local collections, helping at fundraisers near you, or attending events to cheer on our amazing supporters! Whether you've got days or just hours to spare, there are so many ways you can get involved.

What our Volunteers say

Paula, one of our amazing volunteers, helps raise vital funds for us to allow us to continue our work supporting veterans and their families.

“I've been a Help for Heroes supporter and donor from the beginning, in 2007......and my world has never been the same since.

"I've shared amazing moments with other volunteers who have become very close friends, as have members of staff.  And I am in the privileged position to call beneficiaries and their families, friends."

Volunteering for Help for Heroes is physically and mentally challenging at times – but as much as I put in, I get so much more back."
